Hours This Week

We will be closed on Monday, September 2 for Labor Day.

Read Around The Clock

Saturday, September 14 from 8 a.m. until Noon

Our annual 24-hour reading marathon has been caught in a time warp!

This year, we’ll be reading at six different stations throughout the Library for four hours. (Six stations times four hours equals 24 hours of reading!)

Whether you’d like to read, listen, or both, you can choose as many stations as you like and enjoy a variety of stories all connected by the theme of time travel.

Click here to see the schedule and what we’re reading.

If you’d like to sign up to read, let us know which shifts you’d like and we’ll add your name to the roster. You can stop in, call us at 315-853-2038, or email clinton@midyork.org.

After we’re done reading, we will have a big celebration!

This event is sponsored by The Waterville Times.

Thanks for a Great Summer!

Story Times

Join Ms. Ruth for stories and songs at the Kirkland Town Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. (for kids ages 0-2) and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. (for kids ages 2-5). On Thursdays, all ages can meet us in the gazebo during the Clinton Farmers’ Market at 10:30 a.m. (The ages listed are just a suggestion; all ages are welcome at all story times!)

The last day of Farmers’ Market Story Time is Thursday, August 29.

Story time will be on a break for the first two weeks of September and we’ll see you back on September 17 at the library.

Save The Date

mohawk valley gives is September 20

You can be part of the celebration by giving to your favorite nonprofit (which we know is us!). We’ll be raising funds to grow and support our collection that goes Beyond Books. Stay tuned for more information, including a link to give online on September 20.

Clinton Reading Challenge

In the penultimate week, New York keeps the lead with 13,978 hours, followed by Iowa with 12,694. Massachusetts is making a move in the inside lane for a top position with 9,681 hours. New Jersey is running strong with 7,324. Pennsylvania is continuing their bye week and stays steady at 5,675.

We’ve seen a few buzzer-beaters over the years so anything can happen in the last two weeks! If you want to help us bring home the trophy, just report your reading time from May 27 through September 2.

This is the last update you’ll get before the final results are announced!

The deadline to let us know your hours is September 6; we’ll announce the winner on September 10. You can drop off your reading log, email your total to clinton@midyork.org, or fill out this online form.
