Library Director

The Kirkland Town Library located in Clinton, NY is seeking its next Director. The ideal candidate will be a community minded leader who can encourage connections, execute capital projects, motivate staff  and has the vision and passion to  continue the library’s upward trajectory.

The Kirkland Town Library, a member of the Mid York Library System, is chartered to serve the town of Kirkland’s 10,313 residents.

Minimum qualifications include an ALA-accredited master of library information science and  a minimum of 5 years of library experience. Possession of NY State Public Librarian certification.

Starting salary range: $55,000 to $65,000, commensurate with education and experience. This position is 35 hours a week.

Benefits per year: 15 days of PTO; 13 paid holidays; 4 personal days and 12 days sick time, accrued monthly.  EAP, vision/dental insurance and health insurance options.
