The fine print:

  • Holds cannot be placed through the online catalog. Call the Library to see what is available; first-come, first-served.
  • Passes can be borrowed for seven days with no renewals. Please return the pass as soon as possible so others can enjoy it.
  • Passes must be picked up and returned to the Kirkland Town Library. If the Library is closed, the pass can be put in our book drop if it is in an envelope.
    If lost, cardholders are responsible for the replacement fee.

Adirondack Experience

The Adirondack Experience has exhibits dedicated to the region’s natural and cultural history, including hands-on areas for kids. It is open seasonally; check their website for current hours.

Pass provides 50% off admission for 4 adults OR 2 adults and children ages 17 and younger. Children under five are always free. Bring your library card with the pass.


Chittenago Landing Canal Boat Museum

Located on the Enlarged Erie Canal, the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum is a unique nineteenth-century dry dock complex that can be the backdrop for your journey through history. Experience what life was like working and living along the Erie Canal! View the three dry dock bays (deep, middle, and shallow). Explore the reconstructed general store, the blacksmith shop, boat shop, mule stable, and visitors center.

Pass provides free admission for up to 8 people. Children under 3 are always free. Bring your library card with the pass.

Corning Museum of Glass

The Corning Museum of Glass is the world’s most comprehensive glass museum, with more than 20 live demonstrations every day, hands-on activities in The Studio and Innovation Center, and 35 centuries of glass art and history. All exhibits and demonstrations are included with admission. Present your library card and the pass to receive this discount.

Free admission for 1 adult. Children 17 and under are always free. Bring your library card with the pass.


Empire Pass

The Empire Pass can be used at any New York State Park listed on the NYS Parks website, including locally: Delta Lake State Park, Verona Beach State Park, Chittenango Falls State Park, and Green Lakes State Park.

The pass provides free admission for one vehicle to all New York State Parks.

Everson Museum

The Everson Museum of Art in downtown Syracuse is a major Central New York museum focusing on American art. The Everson houses roughly 11,000 pieces of art, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, and video.

Free admission for your household. Bring the pass, your library card, and a copy of the paper agreement.


Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo

The Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo offers engaging animal interactions with fun activities for kids of all ages. Fort Rickey is home to a variety of native and exotic animals, many of which are featured in daily hands-on educational presentations. They are open seasonally; check their website for updated hours.

The pass gives 50% off admission for up to 4 adults and 6 children.


MOST Museum 

The MOST  (Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology) is a hands-on science and technology museum located in historic Armory Square in downtown Syracuse. The MOST is focused on dynamic science education that engages learners of all ages and abilities. It features 35,000 square feet of interactive permanent and traveling exhibits plus the state-of-the-art National Grid ExploraDome theatre.

The pass provides free admission for two adults and their children or their grandchildren under age 18.


Munson

Munson offers 20 galleries featuring selections from the permanent collection and exhibitions of works from major collections worldwide. Find out about the more than 25,000 American and European 18th-, 19th, and 20th-century paintings and 19th-century decorative arts shown in the Philip Johnson-designed museum and Fountain Elms, a refurbished 1850s mansion.

The pass offers free admission for two adults and their children ages 18 and under.


Onondaga County Parks Explore Outdoors Pass

The Onondaga County Parks Pass offers admission to:

  • Beaver Lake Nature Center (one personal vehicle)
  • Highland Forest (up to four visitors)
  • Oneida Shores Park (one personal vehicle)
  • Pratt’s Falls Park (up to four visitors)
  • Rosamund Gifford Zoo (up to four visitors)

ScienCenter

ScienCenter is a hands-on science museum in Ithaca, NY.

The pass provides free admission for up to two adults and the children in their company. To get the discount, present the pass, a photo ID, and your library card. The pass cannot be used to access other museums in the ASTC network or for discounts on store purchases, birthday parties, mini-golf, or summer camp.


Utica Children’s Museum

The Utica Children’s Museum has 60+ exhibits and experiences that celebrate the diverse cultures of the Mohawk Valley. Science, art, history, and culture are woven throughout, creating connections and a sense of home that helps people “love where they live” and inspires a lifelong love of learning.

The pass offers 50% off admission for four people. Children under one are free. Bring your library card along with the pass.


Utica Zoo

The Utica Zoo is located in Roscoe Conkling Park. It has outdoor and indoor animal enclosures, a petting zoo, nature trails, and more.

The pass provides 50% off admission for up to 4 adults and 6 children.
It cannot be used for entry into Utica Zoo Signature Events, Education programs, or for a discount in the gift shop.


Wild Center

The Wild Center is a museum with live animals, hands-on exhibits, an elevated trail, and much more. It is located in Tupper Lake, NY, which is a 2 ½ hour drive from Clinton. Be sure to check their website or call 518 359-7800 for their operating hours before planning a visit.

The pass admits free admission for four children ages 5-17 and discounted admission of $10 for up to two adults.
