Wednesday, June 5 at 7 p.m.

Maurice Isserman, historian, Clinton resident, and Hamilton College Professor of American History will discuss his latest book. Reds: The Tragedy of American Communism is about the deeply contradictory nature of the history of the Communist Party USA. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.


Stories from the
People of the Longhouse

Thursday, June 13 at 7 p.m.

Master storyteller and cultural educator Perry Ground will present traditional Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) legends that have been told for hundreds of years. Learn about the beliefs, customs, and history of the Haudenosaunee people that continue to be an important part of Haudenosaunee culture. The stories include humor, audience participation, and captivating history and are intended for kids, adults, and all ages.

BOGO Book Club

now happening

Have a book you’d like to trade for something new? This is the club for you.
Between May 1 and May 15, adults can stop by the Library to join the club and drop off a book from your shelves that you no longer want and add it to the BOGO bookshelf. Then come back between May 16 and May 31 to choose something from the shelf.


Book Groups

Last Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. and the second Monday of the month at 1 p.m.

All are welcome for an informal conversation on the monthly selection.

The Monday group will meet on June 10 to discuss Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. Some members gather at 12:30 p.m. to eat lunch together; the discussion begins at 1 p.m.

The Wednesday group will meet again on May 29 to discuss There is Nothing for You Here by Fiona Hill.

New members are welcome! Copies of the books are available at the library. Stop in, call, or send an email to reserve a copy.
