Donations through a Memorial Fund
Donors can establish or contribute to a fund to memorialize or honor a special friend or loved one. The fund can provide support to any given subject area or program the donor, in consultation with the Library Director, feels is appropriate.
Donations through Bequests
Making a gift of a charitable bequest in your will or in a living trust can be an effective tool, when carefully prepared by your attorney. This will allow you to retain full use of your assets during your lifetime and still make a significant gift to the Kirkland Town Library. Through a bequest you can transfer cash, stocks, or property to the library. You can specify an amount, a percentage of your estate, or that the library receives the remainder of your estate after you have designated other gifts.
We encourage you to contact you attorney, accountant or financial advisor to help determine the type of gift that is right for you.
Donating as a Benefactor
In consultation with the Library Director, a benefactor can provide a significant charitable contribution that may support purchases, services, and/or programs. This donation provides the library with the flexibility to select areas of greatest need.
